What to Wear

Choosing outfits for your session is often the most stressful part of the experience. But relax! It isn't that hard, I promise!!

I am happy to help you choose just the right outfits for your session. I often do in person consults or consults by text or email. Whatever is most convenient for you.

Here are a few suggestions to get you started.

* Look for a color scheme that will coordinate with the décor in your home. For example, if your home is filled with red accents don't choose all green for your outfits.

*Choose one outfit (for family sessions, I suggest choosing the Mom's outfit first) and then add complimentary outfits for other family members based on that one. Choose two colors from the first outfit and have the other outfits incorporate those colors.

*Mix and Match patterns with solids. Don't have everyone in the exact same pattern or color.

*DRESS UP!! Your images will look best if you look your best.

*Make sure you wear clothing that fits. Clothing that is too tight or too loose will end up making you look larger than you are.

*One tip is to try the outfit on and have someone take a snapshot of you in the outfit. For some reason we tend to see ourselves differently in a photo than we do in a mirror.
